VTV.vn - According to estimates by the World Health Organization, in 2013, fine dust pollution with particles less than 2.5 micrometers (PM 2.5) caused approximately 2.9 million deaths.

By 2014, this number had reached 8 million. In Vietnam, especially in major cities, pollution levels recorded in recent months have been high. According to experts, new and more effective policies for air quality management are needed.

Local authorities must be responsible for policies of traffic management, public transportation development plans, as well as the development of a map of emissions receiving zones.
