VTV.vn - The Japanese government is planning to provide for support for workers, including Vietnamese workers, who are coming to the country to work as nurses and caregivers.

This move is meant to prepare for the expanding reception of foreign workers. After 2019, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government will subsidize fees for overseas students to work at healthcare facilities while studying at nurse training schools. The total amount of support for each student amounts to roughly 1.4 million yen (about 12,300 USD) and includes living expenses and fees for the national examinations. People working as nurses and foreigners will be able to work long term in Japan. Vietnam is one of the leading countries supplying Japan with labor. Several localities in Japan have signed memorandums of reception for laborers from training institutions and localities in Vietnam.
