With an investment of over 27 million US dollars, the plant boasts a treatment capacity of 200 tonnes of waste per day. It is being built on 25 hectares in the waste treatment zone of Bảo Lộc city in Lâm Đồng Province. It automatically treats over 90% of waste. Besides household waste, the plant also treats over 100 tonnes of medical waste and 150 tonnes of toxic agricultural and industrial waste each day.
Afterwards, organic waste such as plastics or paper pulp will be sorted and collected to make recycled products. Remaining materials will be utilised to make fertilizer or construction materials. The factory is expected to be operational in January 2017.
