Mekong Delta growth model discussed

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc chaired a meeting with leaders of ministries and localities on the preparations for the conference to switch the development model for the Mekong Delta under the impact of climate change on Tuesday afternoon. More than 500 delegates attended the event.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc requested delegates to comment and suggest solutions to improve the Mekong Delta development model. The prime minister assigned the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, in collaboration with Can Tho City and other ministries to continue the preparation of specific policies and scenarios for a conference.

The conference on a sustainable development model for the Mekong Delta in relation to the impact of climate change will be held at the end of September in Can Tho City.
