VTV.vn - Typhoon Tembin has weakened into a tropical depression but provinces in the Mekong River Delta are still on high alert and continue to implement emergency measures for the situation.

Localities have urged people to relocate to safe areas for the time being. In Tien Giang province, up to 39,000 people had been evacuated by Dec 25. Nearly 3,000 vessels have already sought shelter. In Ben Tre, over 3200 vehicles have been recalled to safe areas. Authorities have also evacuated more than 41,000 people to storm shelters. Meanwhile, Tra Vinh province has 1100 ha of ​​uncultivated rice and aquaculture which are still vulnerable to the storm. As of this morning, about 350,000 people in the country's coastal areas have been displaced.
