Localities response to typhon Nockten

The storm was located some 840 kilometers to the east-south-east of the Paracel Archipelago. The Central Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Prevention and Control has asked coastal localities from Quang Binh to Kien Giang to provide residents with up-to-date information on the storm to mitigate potential losses. Central provinces were also required to adopt immediate measures to ensure the winter-spring crop. Forces were put on standby to prepare for any potential rescues.
