Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the victory "Hanoi - Dien Bien Phu in the air", the program 12 Days and Nights - Historical Limits will trace the memories of those unforgettable days to retell a story of courage, ingenuity and calm in the face of enemy bombardment. The will to protect independence at all costs overcomes the pain, destruction, ruins and devastation caused by the bombs.
The year 1972 and especially 12 days and nights is a historical milestone for our country. From December 18 to 30, the army and people of North Vietnam fought against the B52 flying fortress, confirming that the only outcome the Vietnamese accepted was peace and national reunification.
"On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the victory of Dien Bien Phu, we were assigned to conduct a program to meet with historical witnesses. Named 12 Days and Nights - Historical Limits, the program is an opportunity for all of us to meet the witnesses who went through those historical moments. This is a feat of all our people. Many forces have contributed to that feat such as the rocket army, the anti-aircraft army, the air force, militias and guerrillas and the people.
Hopefully, the faces and people who will appear in the program will remind viewers of the heroic memories of the years when our nation went through the most arduous ordeal but won a glorious victory," shared journalist Ta Bich Loan.
The epic about the nation's bravery continues with the wisdom and blood of generations who have lived and fought under the skies of Vietnam. In those historic days, the sky of Hanoi and the North Vietnam in 12 days and nights was the limit of faith and life. And victory belongs to those who carry the righteous spirit with the willing to sacrifice for the Fatherland.
The program 12 Days and Nights - Historical Limits will be broadcast live at 8:10 p.m. today (December 25) on VTV1 channel.
