The orchestral piece Nguoi Chien Si Ay (That Soldier), performed by a collective of artists and soldiers from the Vietnam People’s Army, opens the special art program The Nation Reunited in Joy. The performance was meticulously prepared and impressively staged. The event takes place at the Reunification Hall, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, and is broadcast live on VTV1 and several other TV channels nationwide. The program highlights the leadership role of the Communist Party and President Ho Chi Minh, the courageous spirit of Vietnamese soldiers and citizens, and the image of the “Uncle Ho’s Soldiers” during the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign. It aims to ignite patriotism, national pride, and the aspiration to build a prosperous country in the new era.
A Star-Studded Artistic Lineup
The special program The Nation Reunited in Joy consists of three chapters: Chapter 1 – The Aspiration for Reunification. This chapter was an emotional journey recalling the days of division when the whole country was united in struggle. It featured a series of songs including The Folk Tune by Hien Luong Wharf, dance performance Dong Khoi, Song of Hope, Singing on the Top of Truong Son, Vam Co Dong; dance performance Steel Land, The Country, and the medley The Nation Reunited in Joy – Spring on Ho Chi Minh City. Chapter 2 – The Aspiration to Rise conveyed the spirit of unity and comprehensive reform, collective efforts to build and defend the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the era of independence and development. It featured well-known songs such as The South Always Remembers Uncle Ho, Song of Today’s Rice Plant, Love Song of the Miners, Spring from the Oil Wells, and Unforgettable Song. Chapter 3 – The Aspiration for Greatness - was filled with melodies of pride, peace, and renovation – melodies carrying the aspirations of the entire nation in the new era. People’s Artist Tu Long and the Production Team of The Nation Reunited in Joy
The show brings together many renowned artists such as People’s Artist Thanh Thuy, singers Cam Van, Tung Duong, Vu Thang Loi, Do To Hoa, and more. Notably, People’s Artist Tu Long and members of Call Me by Fire will also participate in a specially choreographed performance created exclusively for this grand event.
