Launch of the 3rd Grade Computer Science Program - Familiarize Yourself with the Subject of Computer

On August 30, the Computer Science Grade 3 was launched at Vietnam Television. This is the next show in the series of programs of Teaching on television on the occasion of the new school year 2022 - 2023.

The program is co-produced by the Department of Education - Vietnam Television in collaboration with the Department of Primary Education - Ministry of Education and Training and the MindX School of Technology.

Following the success of the series of mathematics, Vietnamese and English teaching programs for students in grades 1 and 2, Grade 3 Computer Science is a program consisting of 17 transmissions, corresponding to 17 contents in the computer science text book.

This is also the first year that Computer Science officially becomes a compulsory subject and is taught from grade 3.

With a desire to help students easily access computer science, the information in the third grade computer program is basic and easy to understand. From the concepts of "information", "decision" to how to get acquainted with computers, directories and the Internet, everything will be conveyed through lively, engaging and varied lectures.

In particular, the show also has the participation of some students which will contribute to making the conference more intuitive, interesting and easier to convey to viewers. This is also a useful reference for the teaching of primary school teachers.

At the launch of the program, Dr. Thai Van Tai, director of the Department of Primary Education of the Ministry of Education and Training, said, "Computer science is an important subject in the 2018 General Education program for third graders. And the Grade 3 Computer Science program, with 17 episodes, will be designed in a flexible and lively way, helping students to gain more basic computer knowledge and skills."

Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Hoa, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Education of Vietnam Television, said, "Vietnam Television has promoted television teaching in recent years, in order to support teaching and learning throughout the country. Hopefully, with the 3rd grade Computer Science program to be broadcast starting this school year, learning resources will become more and more plentiful and students, teachers, and parents across the country will be able to easily access knowledge through television and the Internet wherever they are."

The 3rd grade Computer Program will air at 7:30 p.m. every Monday beginning September 5, 2022 on VTV7. The audience will be able to follow the program on the VTV7 fanpage.
