The Moneyverse and the Journey of Growth Through Real-World Experience

VTV Times hosted the launch event was organized  in collaboration with The Moneyverse Joint Stock Company at the VTV Times headquarters in Hanoi (Vietnam Television headquarters), with online connections to two additional locations: Da Nang (Vietnam Television Center in the Central Region - VTV8) and Ho Chi Minh City. Representatives from BIDV Bank, regulatory agencies, businesses, lecturers, and students from 54 universities and academies nationwide attended the program. The Moneyverse 2026 is scheduled to run from March to November 2026. Contestants will go through multiple rounds, including university-level casting, national casting, quarterfinals, semifinals, and a grand final to determine the Champion of “The Moneyverse” 2026.

After two seasons, The Moneyverse has grown beyond the scope of a typical student competition to become a practical financial education model within universities. According to Mr. Pham Quoc Thang, the deputy editor-in-chief  of VTV Times, the significant increase in the number of participating universities and students in Season 3 clearly reflects the program’s growing influence.

From the perspective of educators who have accompanied students through the program, Nguyen Nhu Hien Hoa, a lecturer at Duy Tan University, described it as “a living textbook of finance” that instills greater confidence in  students  as they enter the labor market. Similarly, Huu Tri, a lecturer at  the University of Economics and Finance in Ho Chi Minh City, noted significant changes among participating students, particularly in their ability to apply  academic theory to real-world situations.

Season 3 Promises Many Exciting Novelties

At the event, journalist Duong Ngoc Trinh revealed that Season 3 will carry the theme BIGBANG DATA, with the message: “Giving birth to a new generation of Vietnamese financial leaders: Awake - Civilized - Happy - Successful”.

In addition to expanding the number of participating universities, the new season will also feature major organizational and logistical upgrades. Alongside  traditional competition rounds, the program will host large-scale economic forums and conferences in Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City. Each forum is expected to bring together around 500 outstanding   finance and investment students, as well as local authorities and both domestic and international economic experts.

This year’s program also places greater emphasis on connecting students with businesses and government agencies. This gives participants opportunities to engage with pressing national financial issues and develop a more comprehensive understanding of economics.

With significant innovations in both content and scale, Season 3 of The Moneyverse is expected further to spread the spirit of financial initiative among students while building a network of young financial “astronauts” who are confident, knowledgeable, and ready to integrate into the data-driven era.
