Laos-Vietnam boost border co-operation

The event was co-organised by the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Lao Central Front Committee. At the conference, Vietnam Fatherland Front chairman Tran Thanh Mẫn said he highly valued the exchanges and co-operation between the two organisations. He said the activities have helped improve the living standards of people as well as ensure security in the border areas. The two sides also signed a joint statement to boost the ties during the 2017-2020 period.
