Laos and Vietnam enjoy growing ties

The Vietnamese party leader expressed his delight at the special relationship with Laos, which has grown extensively across a variety of fields.

The general secretary called for concerted efforts to prepare for the 40th meeting of the Laos - Vietnam Inter-Governmental Committee, and launch a string of activities marking the Laos - Vietnam Solidarity and Friendship Year 2017.

The Lao deputy prime minister congratulated his host on Vietnam's development and expressed his sympathy for the losses suffered during the recent devastating floods. He believed that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Vietnam would overcome its difficulties and challenges and see greater progress in its development.
