Lao Cai, Lang Son prepare for cold weather

At 1am on Tuesday, Mau Son Mount in Lang Son Province saw temperatures of minus 0.8 degrees Celsius. All students in kindergarten, primary and secondary schools in the province have been allowed to stay home.

The schools have sent messages to students' families to inform them. In Lao Cai province, locals have taken action to protect their plants and animals from cold weather. Cattle have been kept inside so that they can receive better care. Learning from the damage caused by previous winters, people across the north have been well prepared to cope with the cold weather.
