Lanh Giang temple festival opens in Ha Nam

VTV.vn - The Lanh Giang temple festival in Ha Nam province's Duy Tien district kicked off on July 4.

The festival is celebrated twice a year, on the sixth and eighth lunar month. Lanh Giang temple is dedicated to the worship of three generals under the reign of the 18th Hung King. The temple also worships Princess Tien Dung who was the daughter of the 18th Hung King and her husband Chu Dong Tu, one of the four immortal saints in the traditional mythology of Vietnam. The temple was granted a certificate for the preservation and promotion of traditional cultural values by the Vietnam Union of UNESCO Associations in 2015 and was recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2017.
