Landslides causing complications in the Mekong Delta
VTV.vn - Landslides on the banks of rivers and the coast in the Mekong Delta are threatening the lives of millions of people.

There are sixty areas prone to danger which need special attention. Due to a lack of resources, banks are built only in the most densely populated areas.

Together with higher sea levels and subsidence, landslides on the banks are the current urgent challenge faced by the Mekong Delta.

There are 526 landslide areas for a total length of 800 kilometres. It is expected that the Mekong Delta will lose 500 hectares to landslides./.
