Landslide continues in Mekong Delta

The whole region has over 500 areas that have been hit by landslides with a  total length of nearly 800 km, of which, 55 points have been reported as particularly dangerous.

Landslides have gotten stronger and increasingly unpredictable. Sea dikes are eroding and coastal protection forests are rapidly deteriorating. The livelihoods of millions of people in the coastal areas are also under threat.
