Kovalevskaya Prize 2021 honors two female professors

This year's award ceremony was also held for Vietnam Science Day.

This year, the Kovalevskaya Award honors Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Thị Thanh Mai, vice president of the University of Natural Sciences, at Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, and Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Minh Thủy, a senior lecturer in the subject of Food Technology, from the Faculty of Agriculture, in Can Tho University.

The two scientists have done significant research and developed products to support the treatment of cancer using domestic herbs, as well as solved problems in sustainable agricultural product consumption.

Also on this occasion, the Ministry of Science and Technology awarded certificates of merit to 4 female scientists for their outstanding achievements in scientific research.
