Kon Tum province holds dugout boat race

Teams competed in 2 events, one 200-meter race and one 1,500-meter race.

The annual dugout boat race on the Dak Bla River aims to promote the cultural and spiritual life of local people by creating an exciting atmosphere at the beginning of the year.

It also creates favourable conditions for exchanges between locals and tourists and promotes the preservation of the traditional cultural identity of ethnic minorities, particularly regarding boat culture.

The race is part of a series of activities held to celebrate 110 years of the establishment of Kon Tum Province
