VTV.vn - Jazz concerts featuring the participation of Vietnamese saxophonist Tran Manh Tuan and Russian guitarist Dimitry Malotetov were held in Moscow on October 22 and 24.

The events were part of activities towards the celebration of the 70th anniversary of Vietnam – Russia diplomatic ties, contributing to enhancing the cultural exchange between the two peoples and the relations between the two nations.

The concerts, which took place in the Moscow State Institute of International Relations and the Cultural Centre of the Main Administration for Service to the Diplomatic Corps under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, attracted numerous Russian friends and Vietnamese expatriates in the country.

Under the support of artists Aleksey Pleshchunov (bass) and Kirill Sukharev (drums), saxophonist Tran Manh Tuan and guitarist Dimitry Malotetov introduced audiences to familiar pieces of music from Vietnam and Russia that were remixed in a modern jazz style as well as a selection of world famous jazz compositions.

The artists are expected to give their unique performance in Ho Chi Minh City in December.
