Japan vows closer co-operation

VTV.vn - Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh met with Japan's State Minister for Foreign Affairs Kazuyuki Nakane on Tuesday morning.

He highly valued Japan's official development assistance for Vietnam's socio-economic development, particularly infrastructure building, and asked for the continuation of ODA provision.

At the meeting, Nakane also voiced his delight at the strong, comprehensive and substantive growth of bilateral ties in all aspects, and stressed that Vietnam's development was important to Japan.

The two sides also agreed to increase Japan's admission of Vietnamese apprentices when the northeast Asian nation prepares for the 2020 Summer Olympics.
