VTV.vn - The elevated section of the Nhon-Hanoi Station metro line in Hanoi welcomed a large number of passengers on its first day of operation on the morning of August 8.

The second line covers a total distance of 12.5 km, featuring eight elevated stations and four underground ones.

The Hanoi Metropolitan Railway Management Board (MRB) announced that for the first three months of operation, trains will run from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day, with trains arriving every 10 minutes.

Tickets are priced at 8,000 VND (0.32 USD) for a single ride, 12,000 VND for a full-line ride, 24,000 VND for a day pass, and 200,000 VND for a monthly pass. Students receive a discounted monthly pass at VND100,000. Children under six, seniors over 60, people with disabilities, and revolution contributors can ride the trains for free.

Information boards are installed in many locations at the stations to provide passengers with real-time information on next train arrivals, and related announcements.

The metro line consists of 10 trains, each capable of reaching a maximum speed of 80 kph. Every train has four cars, with each car accommodating up to 236 passengers.
