VTV.vn - The International Monetary Fund assesses that Vietnam’s economy has experienced strong growth so far this year and is expected to continue this momentum in both 2018 and the following period.

This is the main conclusion in the annual report on Vietnam's economic situation by the global financial institution.

Vietnam should gradually shift from monetary policy based on exchange rate management to stabilize inflation targets. It may take several years, but it is hoped that it will gradually give more flexibility to the exchange rate, and then the economy may cope  more easily with shocks.
