Hungarian Cultural Week to be held in Can Tho

VTV.vn - The Hungarian Cultural Week will be co-held by Can Tho City, Hungary’s Kaposvar City, and the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Can Tho City this year, heard a meeting between Hungarian Ambassador to Vietnam Ory Csaba and Can Tho City chairman Vo Thanh Thong on February 12.

The Hungarian Ambassador said his country hopes the event will help introduce its businesses, cuisine and culture to the Vietnamese people.

The Hungarian Cultural Week will feature Hungary’s fine art paintings, films, and music, an exchange between Can Tho and Kaposvar universities, and investment workshops for Hungarian and Vietnamese businesses to seek partnership, the Vietnam News Agency reports.

Vo Thanh Thong spoke highly of the initiative of organizing the cultural week in the city, adding that there is a great potential for collaboration between Can Tho and Hungarian partners, with cultural exchange playing a key role.

At the meeting, both sides also reached an agreement on speeding up the construction of the Can Tho Oncology Hospital, which receives preferential loans from the Hungarian Government.
