Hue Central Hospital carries out cross-country heart transplant

The lucky patient is 52 years old and had suffered from heart disease for over 4 years. The transplanted heart belonged to another patient who was brain-dead in Việt Đức Hospital in Hanoi.

Transportation of the heart took 5 hours and 35 minutes. This is the third time Huế Central Hospital has succeeded in heart transplant operations.

Two days after the operation, the patient has shown positive signs of recovery.
