Highway 1 stretch opens to traffic

VTV.vn - The expanded sections of Highway One via Binh Đinh and Phu Yen provinces officially opened to traffic on Wednesday after 2 years of construction.

The 120 km long stretch cost 3.4 million USD and the build-operate-transfer model was financed by government bonds. The sections cover six lanes and have a maximum speed limit of 80km per hour. The route will connect to deep water ports, Highway 19 and southern Laos and northeast Cambodia.
