Heavy rains forecasted for Northern region

The heavy rains are forecast to continue throughout the afternoon and evening in these areas, especially in the provinces of Lai Châu, Điện Biên, Sơn La, Lào Cai, Yên Bái, and Hà Giang. Rainfall is expected to reach 150 mm by tomorrow morning in some places. This weather may last until September 12th. The heavy rains could potentially cause flash floods, landslides and even whirlwinds.
