Health Ministry issues new guidance on measures regarding people returning from epidemic areas

Specifically, for those coming to/from areas suffering from the COVID-19 epidemic, information will be regularly updated on the website of the Ministry of Health at: https://moh.gov.vn/dia-diem-cach-ly.

Those who have received a full dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, or have recovered from COVID-19 should self-monitor at home for 7 days from the date of arrival/return to the locality, always follow the 5K Message and be tested twice, on the first day and on the 7th day. In a case where there is a positive test result for SARS-CoV-2, it will be handled according to regulations.

Those who have not been vaccinated or who have been given insufficient doses of vaccine must implement home quarantine for 14 days from the date of arrival/return to the locality, and continue to self-monitor their health for the next 14 days. Tests will be carried out 3 times, on the first day, 7th day and 14th day, during the home quarantine. In a case where there is a positive test result for SARS-COV-2, it will be handled according to regulations.

Cases from other provinces, cities and localities passing through the epidemic area but not stopping or parking are not required to undergo medical isolation measures.

For those returning from provinces, cities and areas that are implementing social distancing according to Directive No.16/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister, its is required they not move to other cities and provinces until the social distancing measures are eased.
