VTV.vn - Residents of HCMC and some Eastern provinces are returning from the Western region after Lunar New Year holiday in a fear of traffic congestion along national routes No.1 and No. 60.

As a part of National Route No.1, 128km away from HCMC, My Thuan Bridge is usually jam-packed with vehicles during the rush hours of Tet. But on Wednesday morning, despite a large number of vehicles, the situation wasn't tense. Lots of vehicles were stuck at the Tien Giang end of this bridge behind a broken bus.

Some drivers have opted for the Đình Khao ferry from Vinh Long to avoid traffic on National Route No.1, but there were neither long queues nor congestions here like the previous years as three additional ferries were also running.
