During the period, the city will complete the second stage of the Binh Hung water treatment project with a capacity of 469,000 cu.m per day, and Nhieu Loc-Thi Nghe Wastewater Treatment Plant with total capacity of 480,000 cu.m per day.
The city also proposed starting construction of four more wastewater treatment plants, including Tay Sai Gon, Binh Tan, Tan Hoa-Lo Gom and Bac Sai Gon, with total capacity of 800,000 cu.m per day.
The city has also set up an Executive Board of Flood Control with 11 members include deputy chairman of the city People’s Committee, Tran Vinh Tuyen, who will head the board.
Flooding has now been prevented on streets that once easily flooded, including Le Hong Phong, Ky Dong, Hai Ba Trung, No Trang Long, Ly Thuong Kiet, Kinh Duong Vuong and more, according to the city’s Steering Centre for Urban Flood Control.
