Hanoi’s express dispatch asks for safety during high school graduation exams

VTV.vn - Hanoi municipal People’s Committee issued an express dispatch on the evening of July 5 asking for safety in terms of the pandemic during the 2021 national high school graduation exams.

According to the Hanoi municipal People's Committee, the development of the COVID-19 pandemic is in a complicated state across the country with a high number of daily infected cases in some localities, posing a high risk of infection to the community in Hanoi.

Therefore, all educational institutions, sectors and districts in Hanoi must strictly implement regulations on pandemic prevention to ensure safety for the exams.

Educational institutions must ensure safety for candidates not in blocked or social distancing areas and those are not in FO, F1 and F2 groups, according to the dispatch.

In particular, educational institutions are encouraged to apply information technology to enrollment to avoid large crowds. They also need to prepare at least one backup exam room and one isolation room in a case of detecting candidates showing fever, cough, shortness of breath or other abnormalities.

*More than 11,000 students will not participate in first phase of graduation exams

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, as of 4:30 pm on July 5, 11,551 candidates will not take the first phase of the 2021 high school graduation exams due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

They are students from 39 provinces and cities with the highest number in Binh Dinh (2,569) and Bac Giang (2,477).

Forty-five students are in F0 groups while 362 are F1 and 337 are F2.

More than one million candidates registered to take part in the 2021 high school graduation exams which will be held across two phases due to the pandemic.

The first phase will take place on July 7 and 8 while the second phase will be held for F0, F1 and F2 students and students in isolated areas.
