This week’s competition brought together four contestants: Tran Thai Son from Nguyen Van Cu High School, Hai Phong, Doan Tri Anh from Dan Phuong High School, Hanoi, Nguyen Tri Manh from Nguyen Sy Sach High School, Nghe An, and Tran Huynh Hai Duong from Huynh Man Dat High School for the Gifted, An Giang.
In the Individual Warm-up round, Thai Son delivered a flawless start, earning the maximum 60 points. Tri Anh followed closely behind with 50 points, while Tri Manh scored 20 and Hai Duong scored 30 points. After the Group Warm-up, Thai Son maintained the lead with 75 points. Tri Anh had 70 points, Tri Manh scored 55, and Hai Duong accumulated 35.
The turning point came in the Overcome Obstacle round. With a nine-letter keyword to uncover, Thai Son selected the first horizontal clue. However, Tri Anh was the only contestant to answer correctly, which allowed him to take the lead. He maintained his momentum by scoring again on the second clue, then rang in to correctly solve the obstacle as “six-eight poetry”, bringing his total score to 130 points.
The Speed-up round intensified the race. Hai Duong demonstrated sharp reflexes, scoring on two consecutive questions. Thai Son was the sole contestant to correctly answer the third question, tying with Hai Duong. On the final Sprint question, Tri Anh surged ahead, taking the provisional lead with 200 points. At this stage, Tri Manh had 75 points, Thai Son 125, and Hai Duong 145.
Tri Anh, the first contestant in the Finish round, selected the 20-30-20 point package. He correctly answered only the final question, ending his round with 220 points.
Hai Duong chose three 20-point questions and answered two correctly, finishing with 185 points. Thai Son opted for the 20-20-30 package. After answering the first question correctly, he missed the next two and lost 20 points to Tri Anh.
Tri Manh, the last contestant to enter the Finish round, selected three 30-point questions. His correct answers in Mathematics and Literature, combined with the use of the Hope Star, propelled him into second place. After four rounds, Doan Tri Anh claimed victory with 225 points, earning the Olympia laurel wreath. Nguyen Tri Manh finished second with 175 points, making for a closely contested and engaging match.
