VTV.vn - The Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee has promulgated new restrictions to avoid large gatherings at weddings, funerals, and religious services in the city.

Under the recently issued provisional regulations on safe adaptation and effective control of COVID-19, the city’s authorities ordered that wedding events must not exceed 30 people at the same time.

The organisers must commit to following the Ministry of Health’s regulations on COVID-19 prevention and control and the event must be placed under the supervision of local authorities. Participants are requested to observe Ministry of Health’s 5K message of khau trang (face masks), khu khuan (disinfection), khoang cach (distancing), khong tu tap (no gatherings), and khai bao y te (health declarations).

Those who are suspected of having symptoms of COVID-19 and those who have not yet been fully vaccinated are recommended not to attend weddings.

Gatherings of more than 30 are also not allowed at funerals, and no dining events may take place at the funerals.

As for religious services at religious establishments and other places of worship, all participants must be fully vaccinated, have recovered from COVID-19 or have tested negative for the coronavirus within the prior 72 hours. No gatherings of more than 20 are allowed, and those with suspected symptoms of COVID-19 cannot attend in person.

Indoor sports facilities must operate at a maximum of 50% capacity and may not allow gatherings of more than 30 at the same time. They must disinfect equipment and the environment every day, and participants must be fully vaccinated or have recovered from COVID-19.

Accommodation facilities such as hotels and motels are permitted to operate, but with a maximum capacity of 50%, while barbers, hairdressers, tourist sites, museums, exhibitions, and libraries may remain open so long as they strictly follow COVID-19 prevention measures. All employees at these facilities must be fully vaccinated or have recovered from COVID-19.

The operation of bars and massage and karaoke parlours remains suspended.
