Minister Dat said the conference is a place to discuss activities concerning intellectual property at localities, enterprises, research institutes and higher education institutions.
He noted that with Hanoi ranking first in the provincial innovation index and industrial property registration, the city’s experience building and utilising intellectual property will be replicated nationwide.
The minister told the conference that the number of industrial property registration applications processed in 2023 rose by 13.2% compared to a year earlier.
According to the World Intellectual Property Organisation, Vietnam ranked 46 out of 132 economies in the Global Innovation Index in 2023 and is one of the seven middle-income countries to have climbed in the rankings at the fastest pace over the past decade.
