VTV.vn - Hanoi will extend the ongoing COVID-19 social distancing order until 6 am on August 23.

Under the social distancing order, non-essential businesses will continue to remain closed, people are not allowed to go outside except to buy food or for medical emergencies. Public transport also remains suspended.

After more than 10 days under the social distancing order, the virus has attacked key areas such as hospitals, supermarkets, and wholesale markets, and has severely affected people's lives.

As such, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyễn Văn Phong affirmed that continuing to implement social distancing measures at this time is extremely necessary in order for the city to trace and isolate F0s and prevent community transmissions.

The city has also arranged 715 vaccination points including mobile and fixed ones, to ensure that all priority groups are vaccinated by the end of next week.
