Hai Phong launches sail setting ceremony

The event takes place on Cat Hai Island, and is part of the activities to mark he 40th anniversary of Cat Hai Island becoming part of Hai Phong city, as well as the 58th anniversary of the day President Ho Chi Minh visited the fishing village here. Vice State President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh wished the fishermen a fruitful year, and encouraged them in their fishing, and exercising national sovereignty in the process. The event concluded with the vice state president boarding a fishing boat and releasing $18,000 worth of baby fish to bolster fish stocks.
