Hai Phong decreases port infrastructure fee by 50% from next year
VTV.vn - Starting next year, the seaport infrastructure fee for import and export goods transported by water to and from seaports in Hai Phong will be reduced by 50%.
This will help promote waterway transportation as this mode of transport is considered cheap, cost-effective and has a lower environmental impact.
One vessel carrying hundreds of containers has the same capacity as hundreds of trucks. This is also one of the solutions Hai Phong is taking to attract large ocean carriers into the city.
