VTV.vn - The second Global Young Vietnamese Intellectual Forum opened in Hanoi on the morning of November 27in the presence of Politburo member, Secretary of Party Central Committee (PCC) and Head of the PCC's Commission for Mass Mobilisation Truong

The forum themed “Young Vietnamese intellectuals for the goal of national sustainable development” will run until November 28 and aims to strengthen the network of young Vietnamese intellectuals at home and abroad and create opportunities for intellectuals to promote their talents to contribute to the cause of national innovation.

As many as 236 delegates under 35 years old from 23 countries and territories attended the event who are young talents with many researches, solutions, innovations andpractical experiences in different areas.

Prominent among delegates are Dr. Nguyen Duy Tam from Singapore with the method of exploiting renewable energy sources suitable to the conditions of Vietnam, Dr. Ha Hoang Thi from Harvard University with the initiatives to connect Vietnamese students globally andbuild a scholarship fund to support needy students, and others.

Delegates will discuss issues related to the development of high quality human resources, the protection of natural resources and effective response to climate change, technology and management in the digital economy, the improvement of labour productivity and social justice.

Politburo member Mai hoped that this year’s forum will hear more initiatives from young intellectuals to supplement and complete mechanisms to create favourable conditions for intellectuals to contribute to the nation.

“Through the forum, the community of young Vietnamese intellectuals across the globe can cooperate and jointly give effective solutions to big problems in development research and application of new technologies to areas that the country is in need”, said First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee Le Quoc Phong.
