This is the 2nd out of 6 solar power plants expected to be launched and operational in the area by June 2019. The 49-MegaWatt plant, featuring 209,100 solar panels, has been built on an area of 70.2ha at a cost of roughly 60 million USD. Commencing construction in March 2017, the project is expected to produce 103 kilo-Watt-hour, equivalent to the electricity demand of around 47,000 households, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 29,000 tonnes per year.
