Flooding causes damage in Thanh Hóa province

Mường Lát, Quan Hóa, Cẩm Thủy, Thạch Thành and a number of mountainous districts have been hit hard in terms of traffic traveling to and from localities due to heavy inundation. Connectivity with several localities as well as electricity have been lost, creating further challenges for rescue and evacuation efforts.

According to meteorological services, Thanh Hóa and its neighboring province Nghệ An have received heavy rainfall of more than 200 millimeters over the past few days.
