Flag-raising ceremony marks National Reunification day

A flag raising ceremony was held this morning at the national historical relic site on the banks of Hiền Lương Bến Hải rivers in Quang Tri province, to celebrate the 43rd anniversary of Vietnam's National Reunification Day, April 30th.

The site was witness to the glorious history of the armed forces and people in Quàng Trị Province during the resistance war. At that time, nearly 70,000 soldiers and people took part in production and the fight against foreign invaders, making significant contributions to the April 30 victory.

After 45 years of liberation, the provincial administration and people have gradually overcome difficulties to achieve socio-economic accomplishments.
