First tax-free imported cars to be sold

The imported models consist mainly of Jazz, Accord, CR-V and Civic. These automobiles were imported into Vietnam earlier this year under new policies, which have stricter requirements for production, assembling and import procedures.

After Honda, Toyota and Ford are also expected to import their most popular models into the Vietnamese market. Exempted from import tax, these cars will be offered to local customers at lower prices. According to a representative from Honda Tay Ho, thanks to the zero import tax policy, the price of a Honda CR-V has decreased by over 10,000 USD for both E and G models.
