EVFTA benefits agriculture sector

Many agricultural products such as coffee, pepper, and honey, will enjoy a tarriff free status right after the agreement comes into effect.

About 50% of Vietnamese seafood products will be eliminated from tax schedules. The remaining 50% of product lines will enjoy the exemption in the following three to seven years.

Taxes of 59.95% of livestock product lines will return to 0% as soon as the agreement comes into effect while the figure for wooden products will be 87.55%.

For fruits, vegetables, and processed products, 520 out of 556 of product lines will enjoy the 0% tarriffs.
