Being one of the most attractive activities on New Year's Day 2016, the festival introduced attendees to culinary arts and unique cuisine, and let them experience the cultural values of regions across the country. Traditional dishes of the northwest mountains were the festival’s spotlight, allowing people to sample the flavours of mountain cuisine. Other activities planned include traditional folk games, folklore singing, and dance performances. The event welcomed the participation of Mông people in Ha Giang province, Tày and Nùng people from Lào Cai, and craftsmen from craft villages nationwide.
