Mr. Majid Al Falasi, Emirates’ Country Manager in Vietnam, commented: "Vietnam is a fast-growing market with rising demand for international travel, and Emirates is committed to supporting this growth by recruiting skilled pilots. With Emirates, they’ll enjoy a rewarding career flying one of the world’s most modern fleets, comprehensive training, and extensive benefits. We look forward to welcoming Vietnam’s top aviation talent as we expand operations in this dynamic market."
Emirates announced significant changes to its pilot recruitment this year, including higher salaries, new roles, and updated eligibility criteria. Experienced pilots who are keen to join Emirates can explore opportunities in four programs: Direct Entry Captains, Accelerated Command, First Officers Type Rated, and Non-Type Rated.
Direct Entry Captain: To command Emirates’ highly anticipated A350 aircraft or the A380s, candidates need a minimum of 7,000 hours of flying experience on multi-crew, multi-engine commercial aircraft. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead flights on some of the most advanced aircraft in the world..
Accelerated Command Programme: Designed for experienced Airbus and Boeing Captains with a minimum of 1,000 hours of Airbus fly-by-wire or Boeing experience, this program allows pilots to transition into a global airline environment. Captains join as First Officers on an enhanced salary package and are eligible for an accelerated command upgrade after 700 flying hours and two successful recurrent checks, typically achieved in a little over a year.
First Officers – Non-Type Rated: Emirates offers opportunities for First Officers with experience on turbo prop or jets who are non-type rated. These pilots will receive full training to fly Emirates' wide-body fleet, including the new Boeing 777-Xs, which will join the fleet in 2025.
First Officers: This program is for candidates with multi-engine, multi-crew aircraft experience, a valid ICAO ATPL, and a minimum of 2,000 hours on 20-tonne maximum take-off weight aircraft. This role allows pilots to join Emirates' prestigious fleet and play a key part in the airline’s global operations.
