Drainage project in Ho Chi Minh City launched
VTV.vn - A project to ease flood-tides caused by climate change was launched at the Lotus port in Ho Chi Minh City on Sunday.

Worth 450 million USD, the project is the biggest of its kind in Vietnam. It is scheduled be completed after 36 months, and aims to control the flood tide that has increased over the past 10 years on the right bank of the Sai Gon river. This area is 570km2 with a population of 6.5 million people. Addressing the launching ceremony, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc urged the city’s authorities to step up design and planning as well as invite experts’ to participate.
