Dong Loc T-junction Temple opened

The new temple is built within the Dong Loc T-junction monument and relic site. The construction of the temple started in 2016, at the cost of 1.5 million USD.

Dong Loc played a significant role during the Vietnamese-American War. It was a strategic location, by which supplies were transported. 465 were killed, among them 10 militia girls, who laid down their lives to ensure the transport route to the southern front in 1968.

50 years have passed, but the sacrifice of the ten young girls - as well as that of thousands of soldiers, volunteers, traffic workers, drivers and civilians at the Dong Loc crossroad - will be forever remembered as a symbol of Vietnam's revolutionary heroism.
