With the desire to join historical witnesses who were southern students living and studying in many northern localities, the Southern Vietnam Television Center has made a documentary film "Students from the South".
All three episodes tell a true and moving story about the process of going north to study, the achievements and contributions of students from the South that day.
Departure, Red Seeds, Returning are the titles of three episodes of "Students from the South: a Time to Remember". The film conveys the memories of a time the children of cadres, soldiers and compatriots from the South grew up the provinces of the North from 1954 to 1975.
With the production starting in 2021, the film was shot in 18 provinces and cities, from the south to the center and north of the country.
In addition to searching for valuable documents, contacting and interviewing many witnesses, in early 2022, the film crew re-enacted the war scenes in the North.
Through the journey to many places and schools associated with generations of students from the South, the film will tell the audience to unforgettable memories and a moving story about a time in the North.
The three-episode documentary "Students from the South: a Time to Remember" aired at 8:10 p.m. on April 22, April 25 and April 26 on VTV1. Please stay tuned!
