District 3 hands over cleared land to build metro line No.2

District 3 is the last locality among the six districts related to the metro line No. 2 project to hand over the cleared site to the investor.

Metro line No. 2 has a total length of about 11.3km, passing through six districts of 1,3,10,12, Tan Binh and Tan Phu. The entire route has 11 stations, with four located in District 3.

According to the Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of District 3, Tran Thanh Binh, 95 households and 17 organisations are affected by the project. So far, 80% of the land needed for the projects has been handed over to the investor.

Binh noted that the local authorities will continue to work with other households to accelerate the handover of land to the metro project's investor.
