Da Nang, the biggest tourist destination in central Viet Nam, is poised to launch a pilot programme known as "Da Nang By Night" that will aim to restore tourism activities and services in the aftermath of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Le Trung Chinh, chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang city, has recently approved a plan to organise the programme.

The scheme is to meet the dual goal of combating the potential spread of the pandemic whilst developing the region’s economy, in addition to setting up key tasks put forward in the central city’s nighttime economic development plan.

The "Da Nang By Night" programme will be launched on April 30 and will last through 2023. It will be popularized on different network channels from now till April to enable organisations and travel firms to grasp information and design suitable tourism products specifically for visitors.

A range of fresh tourism products and services will be introduced to both guests and residents from April of this year until 2023, according to the scheme

Furthermore, diverse activities will be held in line with the framework of the scheme, including an art lighting performance, activities aimed at promoting nightlife on An Thuong Tourist Street, art programmes, fashion shows, and street dances on the weekend.

Moreover, the scheme also offers cultural and entertainment activities at night in the My An beach area, therefore allowing visitors to also experience Da Nang's culinary arts and seafood on the streets of Nguyen Van Thoai, Hoang Sa, Vo Nguyen Giap, and Truong Sa.
