The opening ceremony included many cultural and artistic performances depicting the cultural and historical traditions of the coastal region of Nghe An, as well as a 15-minute fireworks display.
The week-long festival offers the province an opportunity to popularize its unique tourism values and products to domestic and international tourists.
It is a practical activity to affirm the determination of the province’s Party and people to overcome difficulties posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, build a safe, friendly and civilized tourism environment, and preserve local unique traditional values.
Many activities will be held for this year’s festival, including tug-of-war and stick-pushing tournaments, human chess, a cooking contest, and a night street food festival, among many others.
This year, Cua Lo town, in Nghe An province, aims to welcome 3.4 million visitors.
